Men's Ministry

Men’s Ministry serves a diverse group of NewCity men and provides an avenue to connect with one another for the purposes of community, friendship, encouragement, and accountability. Men's Ministry focuses on equipping and training men to be faithful followers of Christ, especially in their own households and communities. We seek to be a group of men that invests in the lives of other men through spiritual modeling, discipleship, and mentoring to produce fruitful and steadfast believers.

The name "Bleeding Bible" comes from a compliment given to the well-known Reformed theologian Cornelius Van Til. The majority of his written works were on various theological and philosophical topics. Still, those who knew him best, both through his publications and personal interactions, said that if you pricked him with a needle, he would "bleed Bible." Van Til was so saturated in the Word of God that biblical instincts marked his thinking and living. Thus, even when he didn't make explicit references to Scripture in his writings, the Bible's pervasive influence was more than evident. Similarly, our goal is to become so attuned to God's revelation in our thinking and living that the same would be said of us.

Men's Accountability Group is a weekly time of sharing and confession. If you struggle with relationships and sexual temptation, you may benefit from a regular support group that stresses trust, acceptance, grace, and confidentiality. If you're interested, please email Elder Tom Kim.

Men's Dinner is an informal gathering that meets every month for good food and drink, and fellowship. Our discussions enjoy a good mixture of Scripture, laughs, and honesty.
